My name is Wendy and I am married to a wonderful man named Cliff who GOD brought into my life for a second chance at love. I have two awesome sisters - Mary and Jennifer. I am a native of Colorado but have lived in Georgia and Florida for a brief period of time. My life as an artist began at young age. The family album tells the story. In most pictures I had my paper, crayons and paint creating my next masterpiece. I took art classes of all kinds. Drawing - Pottery - Photography and more. My entire family has some type of artisan skill from making jewelry to playing music.
My art continued when I was accepted at the Colorado Institute of Art. I attended CIA and completed a two year program in commercial art. Once I graduated I set out to begin my career in art. I was on fire to be known as an artist. As time went on, my heart to be an artist was packed away. I couldn't get a break. Unfortunately my art wasn't what the galleries were looking for. Off I went to a blue collar job. In my spare time I created logos and letterheads, but my heart wasn't in the commercial side of art. I began to create paintings as gifts for friends and family. I found my passion in painting. My inspiration came from all the beauty that surrounded me - people, landscapes, pets and more. I tried all kinds of mediums from pencil to oil. I painted for the world.
In 2000 I had the opportunity to visit Israel. This trip had been on my life "TO DO" list for years. I felt such passion when I was in the Holy Land. I captured my journey in Israel on the pages of a journal. Every place GOD led me, the pencils came out and the writing and drawing filled the pages. Little did I know that upon my return, GOD had a new journey for me that would change my life forever.
The journey GOD laid before me upon my return was to care for my husband, John, who was diagnosed with glioblastoma multiform - brain cancer. It was time for me to set my artist brushes down and become a full-time caregiver. In 2001, John Robert Staudt went home to be with the LORD. I didn't have the heart to pick up my brushes and paint for quite some time.
My faith in the LORD grew stronger, as I waited to learn what the next chapter in my life would be. A good friend of mine, Debbie Brown, spoke into my life about creating ketubahs. - Jewish marriage contracts. I researched ketubahs for several months. My research included the history, how they are made, types of ink and paper used and other companies that sell them. God moved my heart to begin creating MASTER pieces.
After seeking GOD for two years for a name and logo for the business, my journey began with "The Master's Fingerprints." My artistic gift is now used to glorify my MASTER.
May your journey bring you the peace and happiness you have longed for in your spirit.
May the LORD bless you,
Wendy
